Water Crisis in East Delhi

New Delhi, 14/3 (AO Bureau): Due to the interconnection of 1200 MM pipe, water supply in more than a dozen areas of North East and East Delhi was affected for the third day on Sunday morning. Millions of people are facing this problem. This is the third consecutive day when there is no water on Sunday morning. While the Delhi Jal Board had claimed that the water supply would be smooth on Sunday morning. However, the team of engineers of the Delhi Jal Board is engaged in repairing the pipeline. It is being told that the water supply in all the areas is expected to be normal by this evening when the pipeline work is fixed.

Demand for water tankers has increased in East Delhi due to a lack of water supply. Since Sunday morning, people have been demanding calls for water tankers in Delhi Jal Board offices, while the department is also involved in sending water tankers.

Water scarcity in many areas of East Delhi
Has been facing water problems since Friday morning. The Delhi Jal Board had said that the water supply was disrupted for 24 hours till Saturday morning, but people had to face trouble till Saturday evening. Meanwhile, information is coming that the work of repairing the pipeline has been completed and the water supply will be smooth on Sunday morning, but this did not happen.
Earlier from 8 March to 9 March, people had to face a lot of trouble due to disrupted water supply in Ravinder Rang Shala, CRPC Complex, Police Wireless, Old Rajinder Nagar, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, WEA areas. Also, the water supply was affected in Bawana, Sultanpur Dabas, Puth Khurd, Barwala, Majra Dabas, Chandpur, area under Ward 35 Kanjhawala, Ward 36 Rani Khera, and surrounding areas. Senior officials of the Bhagirathi water treatment plant had said that there would be a water problem for the next 24 hours from Friday, but it continues on Sunday.
