New Delhi, 23/4 (AO Bureau): Senior advocate Harish Salve was appointed as amicus curiae on behalf of the Supreme Court in the case of Covid Management. However, now Harish Salve has requested the Supreme Court to withdraw from this case. Salve said that I do not want to be told here behind the verdict in the case that I know the Chief Justice.
Explain that while requesting the Supreme Court to withdraw from Amicus Curiae, Harish Salve said that some lawyers are criticizing his appointment as Amicus Curiae. On this, the Supreme Court said, We are also pained to know that some lawyers are criticizing him for appointing Salve as a friend of justice in the case related to Kovid. After hearing the case, the court allowed Harish Salve to be removed as a friend of justice in the case of automatic cognizance related to the National Plan on Covid-19.
