Lockdown Imposed in Karnataka

Bangalore, 26/4 (AO Bureau):In Karnataka, a 14-day full lockdown has been announced from Monday amidst increasing cases of coronavirus infection. After the cabinet meeting, the lockdown was announced in the state by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa The CM of Karnataka said that curfew will be imposed in the state from 9 am on Monday night for the next 14 days. He said that during this time, permission for essential services is allowed from 6 am to 10 am. Shops will be closed after 10 o’clock in the morning. CM said that public transport will be closed.

It was told that the Karnataka government has also allowed home delivery of liquor. With this, travel outside the state or within the state will not be allowed. Exemption will be given only in emergency cases, travel outside or within the state will be allowed. Instructions have been given that Deputy Commissioner should take strict steps to avoid the spread of COVID-19

According to Yeddyurappa – medical and essential services, manufacturing, construction, agro-horticulture sectors will be allowed. Chief Secretary P Ravi Kumar will issue guidelines regarding the lockdown till this evening.
