3 CSK members tested Coronavirus positive

Chennai, 3/5 (AO Bureau):The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) has also been affected by the corona virus. The Kovid-19 test report of three members of the IPL team of the three-time champion team Chennai Super Kings has come positive. According to a report by Cricinfo, team chief executive Kashi Vishwanathan, bowling coach Laxmipathy Balaji and team bus cleaner Covid-19 have been found infected. The corona test report of the rest of the team, which is currently in Delhi, has come negative. Tests were conducted on Sunday after which this report came out.

It is understood that Vishwanathan, Balaji and the maintenance staff members conducted a new test on Monday morning to find out the possibility of their condition. If they come back positive, they will have to spend 10 days at the isolation facility outside the team’s bio-bubble. After this, they will be tested again. To get into the team’s bio-bubble, they will need to come to the test report negative twice.

 

Former India fast bowler Balaji was in the team’s dugout on Saturday, when the Chennai Super Kings were beaten by the five-time champion Mumbai Indians on the final ball in the match played at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium. The next match of the Super Kings in the season is to be played against Rajasthan Royals in Delhi on 5 May. Due to the test report of all the players coming negative, there will be no impact on this match and it will be played at the scheduled time.

Earlier, two players of Kolkata Knight Riders were found to be Corona infected, due to which the IPL match on Monday had to be postponed. This is the second time the Corona virus has had an impact on the Super Kings team. Earlier in the IPL-2020, several members of the team, including Vishwanathan’s wife, were found to be corona infected. Test reports of team pacers Deepak Chahar and Rituraj Gaikwad also came positive before the start of last season played in UAE.
