India may face vaccine shortage till July:Adar Poonawala

New Delhi, 3/5 (Ao Bureau):There is a severe shortage of Covid-19 Vaccine across the country these days. The phase of vaccination for the third phase has not started in many states from May 1. Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawala has said that the shortage of the vaccine may last till July this year. Tell that in many states including Maharashtra and Delhi, the work of vaccinating people between the age of 18-44 years has not started.

According to a report by the Financial Times, the production of Covishield is going to increase from the month of July. Currently, 6-7 crore doses of covshield are being prepared every month. But it is expected that from July this number will increase to 10 crores. Adar Poonawala said that the government did not expect that another wave of Corona would be coming in this way. Corona cases began to decline in January. Everyone thought that the epidemic was going to end slowly. But this did not happen.
