BMC To Intensify Covid-19 Vaccination For 18-44 Age Group From June 8

Bhubaneswar, 5/6 (AO Bureau): Covid positive rates are declining in the BMC. Some important steps are being taken by the BMC to maintain this trend. ARTPCR and antigen testing are being carried out by mobile vans at various busy places in Bhubaneswar. Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh of the BMC Commission has appealed to the citizens to assist in this.

Hospital beds and ICUs:
More than 2,000 hospital beds are now vacant in Bhubaneswar. Similarly, more than 45 ICUs are vacant. Oxygen cylinders are also available as needed.

Ambulance management

The ambulance supply system has been decentralized and the required number of ambulances has been deployed in 3 zones of the BM4C.

Arrangements are being made to vaccinate this category of citizens soon.

Various categories of citizens who have already received the first dose will be given the second dose in a timely manner, the BMC commission said.

Oxygen management system:

Both public and private hospitals have higher levels of oxygen than needed. Extensive arrangements have been made for the oxygen concentrator on behalf of the BMC. The state government has provided 100 concentrators for the BM4C area. A special app has been developed by BMCC to give citizens the right access to it. With this app, people can book a concentrator from home.

At the request of the BMC Commissioner

Follow the Covid guidelines issued by the state government. Positiveness rates are steadily declining due to shutdowns and lockdowns. Strict action will be taken against individuals and institutions violating the Covid guidelines. Be careful, be safe.
