Lockdown to continue in Punjab till 15th June

Punjab, 7/6 (AO Bureau):Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has announced to extend the restrictions in Punjab till June 15 with some concessions. According to this decision, shops will remain open till 6 pm and offices will be able to work with 50 percent staff. Capt Amarinder Singh said further relaxations would be given in the coming weeks based on the results if cases continue to decline. He said that the owners and employees of gyms and restaurants should get themselves vaccinated before reopening.
Night curfew will be in force from 7 pm on weekdays including Saturdays. While the regular curfew will continue on Sunday. The Chief Minister has allowed the gathering of 20 people for weddings and cremations after the positivity of corona cases decreased to 3.2% and active cases also decreased. The requirement of corona report at the time of arrival in the state has also been abolished.
State government gave permission for sports training
The recruitment examinations will be allowed to be conducted subject to adherence to social distancing and other COVID appropriate norms. However, the Chief Minister said that priority should be given to online mode of examinations. Sports training has also been allowed for national and international events and the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs has been asked to issue necessary instructions and guidelines.
