Prashant Kishor may join Congress

New Delhi, 29/7 (AO Bureau):Political discussions have been intensifying for the past several days on the possibilities of election strategist Prashant Kishor joining the Congress. Recently, these speculations have gained a lot of strength after Prashant Kishor met Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and former party president Rahul Gandhi. However, he has been seen putting an end to these speculations on his part. Now a report has claimed that Prashant Kishor may join the Congress. According to the report, Rahul Gandhi has sought opinion from party leaders in this regard.

The Congress, however, seems to be avoiding speaking anything about it so far. According to a report of Hindustan Times, now the discussion has intensified within the party regarding this matter. Three people related to this matter in the party have told that the matter was discussed in a meeting chaired by Rahul Gandhi on 22 July. It has been told that senior Congress leaders were involved in this meeting. Among them were AK Antony, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Kamal Nath and Ambika Soni.

 

The report claimed that if everyone agrees with Prashant Kishor’s name, then he can be given important responsibility as General Secretary (Campaign Management) in Congress. An HT report claimed that Prashant Kishor had given a presentation to the Gandhi family on July 15 to advance the Congress.

It has been informed that the purpose of this meeting, chaired by Rahul Gandhi on July 22, was to know what senior Congress leaders think about Prashant Kishor. A Congress leader even claims that former party president Rahul Gandhi can take a final decision on this matter in the next few days. That is why he has first sought opinion from Congress leaders.
