Google deletes 8 applications from playstore

New Delhi, 22/8:Cryptocurrency mining has been attracting everyone’s attention especially in the last few months. However, hackers are using this public interest in cryptocurrencies to trick innocent people into installing apps containing dangerous malware and adware on their smartphones. The good thing is that these malware and adware apps have been identified and Google has now removed them. In fact, 8 dangerous apps have been removed from the Google Play Store that were there in the form of cryptocurrency mining apps. These apps promised users to make huge profits by investing money in cloud-mining operations.

According to a report by security firm Trend Micro, these dangerous 8 apps were tricking users into viewing advertisements, in which about Rs 1,115 a month went to the users to increase their mining capabilities, in return, the users did not get anything.
