Rahul Dravid appointed as the head Coach of Team India

Mumbai, 3/11:Former Indian captain Rahul Dravid will be the new head coach of Team India. After the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2021), the tenure of the current coach Ravi Shastri is coming to an end. Dravid will take charge of the team from the home series against New Zealand after the World Cup. Rahul Dravid is currently working as the head of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. He is credited with producing many junior players. Dravid’s contract will first be till 2023.

 

 

Dravid’s dependable Paras Mhambrey can be made the bowling coach of Team India. Apart from this, Vikram Rathor will continue to be the batting coach of the team, while fielding coach R. No name has been decided yet regarding the replacement of Sridhar. Rathore has also applied for the post of batting coach again.

 

 

Dravid will get Rs 10 crore as salary. He was reappointed as the NCA chief only last month. But BCCI needed a strong candidate to take Indian cricket forward. In the eyes of Ganguly and Jay Shah, no one could have accomplished this work better than Dravid. That’s why he was selected for this role. He will take over this responsibility from the New Zealand series. Team India has to play 3 T20 and 2 Test series by New Zealand in November-December.
