Oxygen plants to be set up across the states

New Delhi, 25/4 (AO bureau): Oxygen has created an uproar among the fast-growing corona infection in the country. In view of the current situation in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided to set up a 551 Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) oxygen plant across the country from the PM Care Fund.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), PM Modi has instructed that these oxygen plants should be started as soon as possible. These plants will give a major boost to the availability of oxygen at the district level. According to the PMO, funds for the 551 oxygen plant will be given from PM Care (PM-CARES).

The PMO said in a statement that as per PM Modi’s direction towards increasing the availability of oxygen in hospitals, allocation of funds from PM-CARES fund for the establishment of 551 dedicated medical oxygen generation plants inside public health facilities. In principle approval is given. Let us tell you that the country is struggling with the lack of oxygen in the midst of the Corona crisis.

 

It has been informed by the PMO that PM Modi has approved 551 medical oxygen making plants in the country from the PM Cares Fund on Sunday. These oxygen plants will be set up in the identified government hospitals at the district headquarters in various states / UTs.
The PMO said that these purchases will be done through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. The basic objective behind setting up an oxygen generation plant in the government hospitals of the district headquarters is to further strengthen the public health system.

According to the PMO statement, the in-house captive oxygen generation facility will meet the day-to-day medical oxygen needs of these hospitals and the district. In addition, Liquid Healing Oxygen (LMO) will serve as the top up for captive oxygen generation.
